Our Mission
Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. (WURA), is a non-profit organization that has worked collaboratively with community partners since its inception in 1991 serving families in Wayne County. WURA successfully operated two Family Resource Centers in Wayne County for sixteen years providing family support services to meet the needs of families in the most critical need areas of Wayne County. In 2007, at the request of combined community efforts, Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. became the domestic violence and sexual assault service provider for Wayne County.
Mission: Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. offers domestic violence, sexual assault, rape crisis and domestic violence intervention services that promote safe, healthy families and communities.
