Our Mission

Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. (WURA), is  a non-profit organization that has worked collaboratively with community partners since its inception in 1991 serving families in Wayne County.   WURA successfully operated two Family Resource Centers in Wayne County for sixteen year providing family support services to meet the needs of families in the most critical need areas of Wayne County.   In 2007, at the request of combined community efforts, Wayne Uplift Resource Association, Inc. became the domestic violence and sexual assault service provider for Wayne County.   The mission of the Wayne Uplift Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program is to offer domestic violence, sexual assault, and rape crisis services that promote safe, healthy families and communities.

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
